Question answered: nawa wants to know about Gorean Philosophy

I’ll start out by saying that i am in no way shape or form a gorean. That being said, i am curious about your thoughts on Gorean Philosophy. I ask this, because while i am not gorean, and do not wish to be treated as a piece of furnature, i do like a lot of the ways they do things.

nawa,

Gorean Philosophy for me is all based on fantasy. John Norman wrote these as fantasy but just like a lot of “cult” followings some people took these and applied them to real or cyber lives. Gorean Philosophy is that men are naturally dominant and women are inherently submissive. Women are for the service of men and that’s the only way it goes. Slaves are treated as precious commodities, asked to serve all men, be loyal and are treated as property. They can not speak in the first person, they have no rights and I konw that online they have “training” to learn the books and dancing/service that is described in the books.

I don’t believe that anyone can live Gorean fully in real life, but applying parts of it to your current life is more than likely and possible. I love the idea of ritual within Gorean lifestyle. Applying some of those rituals to your life would enhance and beautify it, in my opinion. While being Gor is a mindset based on fantasy, applying ideas from the books can create a unique relationship within your current one.
