Signs of abuse come in many forms. Is there abuse here?

Man and a woman are at a restaurant. The man barely says a word to the server, keeping his eyes down and only acknowledging when the woman says something to him. He does not order his own food and waits to eat until the woman starts eating. She removes his plate half way through the dinner and asks for a box. He does not say a word. She takes care of the bill. When getting up to walk out he bows slightly to her and then takes in step behind her. No words are exchanged.

If this were a consensual BDSM relationship, could there be evidence of abuse here? Why?

If this were a non-BDSM relationship, could there be evidence of abuse here? Why?
