Welcome to BDSM Abuse Awareness
Greetings and welcome to Blogathon 2007 and BDSM Abuse Awareness here at luna’s Journey. I’ll be spending the next 24 hours trying to spread information and awareness about domestic violence and how it is a rash in every community; even the BDSM culture.
I’m raising money for the National Leather Association- International Domestic Violence Project ( hereafter called NLA-I DVP) whose main goal is to educate the masses about the difference in a consensual kinky relationship and abuse. The BDSM scene is a very unique group where abuse really can be hard to identify.
During this Blogathon I will do my best to share warning signs, informational essays, personal thoughts and opinions, help lines and ribbon campaigns specifically geared towards Domestic Violence and violence in BDSM relationships.
Guest spotlight will be Mija! She will be taking over this blog for 4 hours this evening while I run a BDSM local munch (meet and greet). I know she’s already planned her topics too and maybe she’ll shed some light on it soon
I’ll also have some fun! I’m answering reader’s questions, both personal and serious in nature. You can still ask your questions, I have plenty of ink in my fingers yet to keep you entertained and learn more about who I am.
I’m a featured blogger somewhere around 11pm- midnight CST on KMRL Mojo Radio. Stop by the blog and listen to the radio station where they will be pimping my cause off and on throughout the hour!
Is this a cause you can get behind? There are 2 things you can do to help me today.
- You can sponsor me for any amount. If you sponsor for more than $3 the charity gives you a free pin as a thank you when you donate.
- You can post on your blog what I’m doing here. I need and love all the attention I can get. If you want a post to just crosspost, I have one here.
Stay tuned, posting 30 minutes from now…
