Step Up

flower.gifThere’s not a lot going on here today. Work sapped a lot of energy out of me and while I don’t know if Master has noticed he seems lost in his own little game world of EVE.

I’m going pretty well with the new push to diet and be healthy. Master is also eating healthier and working out. I think that this has me more than motivated to show him that I can do it, almost willing to show him how I’ve done it in the past and well, to see him struggle though 8 glasses of water a day; knowing he hates water… it’s just amazing. I love him so much.

This weekend we both weighed in and both lost 3 lbs! Yay! Although Master is more for muscle building and I for weight loss it’s so exciting to know that the work we have gone through is slowly paying off. I feel that we should be happy and healthy together very soon.

Master and I are going to be looking for a new apartment soon. It has been a very long time since I’ve moved and even longer still that  didn’t take a place just because I couldn’t afford anything else. I’m not even sure what to look for in a new place. We’ve dreamed so much that I don’t know what would be realistic to want, where our new budget should be for a different place and if we can afford a larger place. The only thing we know is that I want to be closer to work. Things I’d like in an apartment that I don’t have now…

  • a shower
  • dishwasher
  • reliable washer/dryer on site
  • no leaking ceiling
  • newer carpets
  • 2 bedrooms
  • dining room or at least an eat in kitchen
  • better TV reception
  • full size stove
  • central air

I know that all these things come with a price tag and I have to decide what things I really want and what things could be done without. Most of the dream apartments have everything and still fit into the budget so I really need to bring reality back into it.  I’m not even sure what to look for when I go apartment hunting. It will be exciting! Our first apartment chosen together. It will also include a new couch, new bed and other large purchases. *GRINS* It’s like we are married and we are just setting out in the world.

  3. I've played EVE. It's fun. I don't like it on a regular basis though. Good luck apartment hunting. It turns out I love apartment hunting, maybe since that's the part that doesn't actually involve packing and moving boxes?

  4. Actually, if you want to lose more weight you should consider building lean muscle because muscle burns more calories.  It may weigh more, but it will allow for your figure to be more defined.

I've been riding my bike, up hill, three miles to work about two times or more a week.  It's tough but according to my mates, I look better.

Go to the gym and work out for half hour, cardio.  Then do reps on the weight machines.. start on a weight you can do forever.. 10, 15.. 20, however strong you are… just do what feels easy.. Then do say, 5, ten pounds more.. one rep.  Up the weight again, and stop moving when you start to strain.

Also, having a fruit smoothie supplemented with fiber and Protein, Soy Protien is good.. Will supplement the muscle growth.

    FURTHER MORE..

I have this excercise belt thing that you wrap around your stomach during excercise.  It helps keep your back straight and what not.. it also keeps your muscles warm.

I hope that works for you.

  5. Imp,

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm certain that whatever exercise I do will help with muscle gain as I'm a sedentary person. I can't afford the gym so I work out at home. I too have a weight belt, but it isn't that great for me since my stomach is huge.

I'll stick to sparkpeople.com for their recommendations. Success comes in many forms and I think sparkpeople is the way to go for me.

I'm glad your plan works for you though, it shows that everyone has a different way to work out and stay healthy. Hopefully people can realize that.
